Biography

Boyd Earl has been representing personal injury plaintiffs for more than 30 years in the Western New York community, as well as in Northern New Mexico where he now acts as the managing attorney for the LoTempio P.C. Law Group.  His areas of practice include Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Automobile Accidents, falls and all other negligence actions. As an experienced trial attorney who is admitted before New York State courts, New Mexico courts, the US District of Western New York, the US District Court of New Mexico, The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the US Bankruptcy Court and the United States Supreme Court, he has helped thousands of clients obtain compensation for injuries caused by the negligence of others. He has trial experience in all types of personal injury and Medical Malpractice claims. 

Boyd Earl has expanded his practice in the past few years to include New Mexico, Boyd handles all types of Personal Injury cases in Taos, New Mexico and has been admitted in New Mexico to serve his local community with the same dedication and success he is known for in NY.  He has also participated in the New Mexico Medical Malpractice Panels, which are made up of 3 attorneys, and 3 physicians, who listen to arguments regarding whether cases qualify as involving malpractice.

Community Involvement

In addition to his 30 years of practice in the personal injury field, Mr. Earl has been very involved with volunteering with his church and other charitable organizations for years. For eight years, he was a member and also served as president of the Board for Saint Mary’s School for the Deaf until 2019.  Boyd is currently President of the Foundation for Deaf Education, 2019- present.  Having worked with handicapped children early in his career, Mr. Earl learned American Sign Language in order to be able to communicate with the deaf, which has served him well since he has been serving on the board of Saint Mary’s, one of the few residential deaf schools New York State owns and manages.

After he left the school board due to term limitations, he joined the Foundation for Deaf Education, where he now serves as President of that Board, which is tasked with seeking funding for the education of deaf students throughout Western New York.

He has also served as the President of the local Mental Health Counseling service, The Southtowns Counseling Service, and has worked with various other agencies over the years of his practice, including the Journey’s End Refugee Service and The Western NY Food Bank. Boyd is very involved with his church, having been part of the Choir, the Middle School Youth Program and the Technology Services Department.  He now serves on the Session of his Presbyterian Church.

Additional Interests

As part of his volunteering work, Boyd Earl participated in a mission trip to China with Joni and Friends, delivering wheelchairs to the disabled for several weeks, and plans again to volunteer to work with the charity to assist others in their ability to care for themselves and enter the workplace in their home countries.

Mr. Earl’s interests also include photography and videography. He has served as an official photographer for the Ride for Roswell, Joni and Friends, as well as for Project Serve, a local service event. He has also traveled the world with his wife and family over the years, having now visited over 40 Countries, from Singapore to Iceland, taking photos and learning about the lives of others around the world.
